Policies of the Artist

Although I use photographs to design my images it is my policy not to work from an existing photograph. It is very important that, as the artist, I have complete control of the composition and lighting of the figure. An existing photograph may not have the qualities required to create a good image. Flash bulbs can disrupt important colors and values, creating a flattened, unnatural look. Allowing me to have creative control will provide you with a more natural, unique, and beautiful portrait.

Please note that all my commissioned paintings are done on fine Belgian Linen using exquisite oil paints. I use high grade materials to ensure the archival quality of your portrait.

Please take care in analyzing the style of my work through careful observation of my portfolio. Be confident that you are comfortable with my color themes and painting technique before you commit to a portrait. If you are concerned with some aspect of the painting at the time of the unveiling, I will happily work with you to accommodate small changes. Your satisfaction is my primary concern. However, major changes will require compensation for additional time.
